Our story

Coffee worth walking to

Giulia and Dan, the couple behind G's Cafe
Giulia & Dan — say hello when you see us.

G’s Cafe is a little pop-up made for our own village. Until now there’s been nowhere in Standlake to buy a cup of coffee without driving ten minutes to Witney — so we’re opening for the morning drop-off and the afternoon pick-up rush.

My husband Dan, a coffee aficionado from the USA, brews our own blend Prima Luce every morning on his vacuum set-up — dreamy to look at, delicious to sip. I’m Giulia, a trained chef and pastry chef, and I’ve always wanted my own little place to serve a few really good baked things.

Everything is baked fresh, every single day: sweet and savoury, with healthy snacks and proper breakfast options. Afternoons bring Italian herbal teas blended to support different areas of wellbeing — and of course a standard English breakfast tea with milk is always on.

For little hands

Children’s cooking classes

Every week we’ll run cooking classes for children — proper hands-on sessions with dough, whisks and plenty of tasting, led by Giulia. Monthly programmes will be announced once we’ve settled into opening, so keep an eye on Instagram or drop us an email to join the list.
